Terms and Conditions

Everything these days has terms and conditions, so here are Bedscape's:

Objective:

• To provide those interested in Bedfordshire's countryside with access to images of its landscape through time.

Bedscape:

• Is a photographic archive of Bedfordshire rural landscape, especially in relation to biodiversity.
• Is a photographic archive of habitats, not species.
• Is not an archive of urban images or rural culture, unless directly related to the rural landscape.

By supplying images to Bedscape you:

• Agree that everything that you supply may be made public via the Bedscape website.
• Permit individuals to use the images for their own personal interest, including printing copies for their own personal use, but not for public display or publication without permission of the copyright holder.
• Permit wildlife conservation organizations to use the images in the course of their work, but not for public display or publication without the permission of the copyright holder.
• Have obtained the permission of the copyright holder to supply the images to Bedscape when you are not the copyright holder. If the copyright holder is unknown then you need to say so, and be reasonably sure that whoever they are, they are not going to object to its use in Bedscape.
• Have obtained the permission of the land owner(s) if necessary to supply images of their land to Bedscape.
• Have obtained the permission from all recognizable people within a picture to submit it to Bedscape. Permission from parents or guardians must be obtained if children are shown.
• Agree to let the BRMC hold your contact details so that permissions to use the images may be sought.
• Accept that not all supplied material may be input into Bedscape at the discretion of BRMC staff. Material will usually only be omitted when it is not appropriate to the objectives of Bedscape, or does not add substantially to its content.
• Accept that Bedscape is not a substitute for your own image archive. There is no guarantee that images that you supply will always be available in Bedscape and the BRMC does not guarantee against loss.

By referencing images in Bedscape you:

• May use the images for your own personal interest, including printing copies for your own personal use, but not for public display or publication without permission of the copyright holder.
• May use the images in the course of your work for a wildlife conservation organization, but not for public display or publication without permission of the copyright holder.
• May not use the images for any other purpose without the consent of the copyright holder.
• Agree to credit the photographer and copyright holder when using any image (with permission).
