BRMC has completed work on the first stage of a new Ancient Woodland Inventory for Bedfordshire. This project is being continued by The Wildlife Trust BCN, who are looking for volunteers to help with initial surveys on potential Ancient Woodland sites, in Spring 2023. Please find more information

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to provide bat data on behalf of the Bedfordshire Bat Group as part of our data search services from the 1st April 2022. A fee will be charged to cover the costs of this service, with a proportion going to the Bat Group to cover their on-going support.

Millionth record was added to the BRMC database today! It was of 15
Hoplodrina alsines "Uncertain" moths, recorded on 21st June 2011 in Biggleswade by Lionel Burgess. Many thanks to him and to all the naturalists and County Recorders that provided the other 999,999 records that enabled us to reach this major milestone!

A successful planning and biodiversity conference was held in Cambridge in association with CPERC.
Nearly 100 delegates heard excellent talks from the guest speakers and local authority staff were able to mix with colleagues from other councils.
