Who We Are

Our Partners

The assets of the BRMC, other than the data, are owned by a partnership comprising:

• Bedford Borough Council
• Central Bedfordshire Council
• Luton Borough Council
• Bedfordshire Natural History Society
• Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire
• Greensand Trust
• Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity

(Data ownership is not normally transferred to the BRMC).

These organizations make various financial contributions to the running of the centre, or contribute in kind. The BRMC is directed by a steering group with representatives from the partner organizations, and managed on a day-to-day basis by the Centre Manager.

Our Host

The BRMC is hosted by the Wildlife Trust at its Bedford office in Priory Country Park's Visitor Centre.

The Staff

The centre is operated by four members of staff: Richard Coppins (Part time), Jackie Ullyett (Full time), Jennie Mitchell (Part time) and Hazel Harbird (Part time).

Volunteers

We are also lucky to have the valued help of volunteers who assist with various aspects of operating the centre. If you have skills to offer, particularly with data processing, we would be pleased to talk with you.
